Legal Services for Children, Inc. provides free legal and social services to children and youth (up to age age 21) in the SF Bay Area, providing representation in legal cases involving guardianship, immigration, education, and foster care issues. They offer services in English and Spanish, and can access translators for some other languages. 

A legal guardianship is a decision by a judge that a responsible person over the age of 18 will have custody of a child under 18 who needs a safe place to live. LSC may be able to assist you with the guardianship process if you live in the counties of San Francisco and Alameda, are over the age of 12, and are not able to live with your parents or current guardians.
